TL;DR

  • Fresh Fish Market had a 5.0 Google rating across 80 reviews and a 4.9 on Yelp, with no web presence of its own.
  • What people could find online came from Yelp and a couple of Facebook influencers, and the owner had no way to capture customer data.
  • What-a-Shift built a first-party website with menus, schema, and 3EO optimization, connected it to third-party references, and added QR code and NFC tap menus.
  • Every sign, QR code, and post we delivered was tracked.

The challenge

Fresh Fish Market has an almost unheard-of 5.0 rating on Google across 80 reviews, plus a 4.9 on Yelp. Online, that was all there was. Everything people could find about the restaurant came from Yelp and a couple of Facebook influencers, and the owner had no website and no way to capture customer data.

What we did

We built a first-party website to give the restaurant a home of its own and a way to capture customer data. Then we made sure people could find it and trust it:

  • Added the restaurant’s menus to the site
  • Added schema markup so search and AI systems can read the restaurant’s information
  • Optimized the site for search, answer engine, and generative engine optimization (3EO)
  • Connected the site to third-party references
  • Provided QR code and NFC tap menus
  • Replaced old signage with updated, trackable QR codes and NFC taps, and delivered them to local businesses in the area
  • Tracked everything we delivered or posted
